Expiration Dates

A reality in life I have learned is that everything really has an expiration date! When we go shopping for groceries we check the expiration date on our products. After a certain time, the product is no longer good or has no usage. If you go shopping You have a limited time to return/exchange before the return/exchange date is void or expires. The life we live every day will have an expiration date! As you can see EXPIRATION DATES matter! I use to always look at how some expiration dates are different from others depending on what it is. I then started applying expiration to my personal life!

I could recall being afraid of doing certain things or taking risks. My fear caused me to procrastinate, prolong or just be stagnant in certain areas. It’s not that I didn’t have faith but I still had some growing to do in my faith walk. There were relationships and friendships that I was in that were beginning to expire. I could feel the change, I noticed how things were becoming different. I noticed myself constantly trying to work things out or make things right and was at the point of “whatever” or “it is what it is”. It was either too exhausting or a one-sided effort. I would hear GOD speaking to me clearly and still tried to hold on with the hope that things would change! I remember going through certain situations and becoming down. I would sit and constantly think and replay the scenarios in my mind. It would put me in a certain mood and if I wasn’t careful I would slip into a state of depression. Then GOD hit me across the head with his word and reminded me of Ecclesiastes 3:1-11!!!! Everything has a time and a season, a beginning and an end. I understood it was okay for things to end!!!!!! It was then I decided to no longer let FEAR stop me from accomplishing anything I set out to do. I gave FEAR an EXPIRATION date! I learned that the relationships and friendships that I was in because of history didn’t serve a purpose to my destiny and God allowed things to happen so that I could let it go! I gave pointless, one-sided, forced relationships an EXPIRATION date and some GOD expired himself! When I was going through I had to give depression and EXPIRATION date! Everything that was not of GOD that tried to control my mind, feelings and thoughts had to EXPIRE! I decided that whatever it was if it didn’t serve who I was or where GOD is taking me….. it had to end! So I encourage YOU if you are dealing with FEAR,REJECTION,DEPRESSION,USELESS RELATIONSHIPS OR FRIENDSHIPS stamp today as the EXPIRATION DATE! Put an expiration date on everything that must come to an end in your life! IT’S TIME TO LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE! The one GOD has called you to!
