I’m talking to “The Woman in the mirror”!

Mirror-a reflective surface, now typically of glass coated with a metal amalgam, that reflects a clear image. The mirror can be your best friend or worst enemy. Oh boy!!! There are so many ways I’m about to touch base on this mirror!

#1 Personal When you look in the mirror do you like who you see? Often times we look in the mirror and pick out every little thing. We give ourselves such a hard time! There are times when we feel we look too big, too small, judge our facial features or simply hate the way we look based on someone else’s appearance! We are our worst critics! As women, we must learn to embrace who God has created us to be. God took his time when he created us all! You don’t have to look like anyone or try to be like them! We must embrace the wonderful, beautiful, GOD fearing women that we are! It doesn’t matter how much makeup or beauty enhancements we apply, when its all stripped off YOU are still YOU! Self-love is the BEST and greatest LOVE you can have! We can get so consumed, caught up and concerned about how we look or are viewed by others that we beat and break ourselves down! Today will be the day you no longer give others that much power over your mind! How people see us is their issue, but how GOD sees you is all on YOU! Now let’s use this mirror in another way- It’s time to talk to the woman in the mirror! or ask yourself this question-
#2 Spiritual Is God pleased with the reflection staring back at me? I remember having a moment when I had to sit down and evaluate my life. I was making poor choices and my attitude towards things as well behaviors definitely weren’t pleasing to GOD. I had a “woman in the mirror” moment! I recall going in front of my mirrored closet door, sitting on the edge of my bed and staring at myself! It wasn’t a few seconds, I stared at myself for a while, I looked at myself over and over! I stood up and looked at myself from head to toe over and over! I started praying and saying to GOD- I am who I see, the reflection in this mirror is ME! I am not pleased GOD and I know you aren’t either. Take my mind and transform it! The next time I look at myself, I will see YOU! I begin to study the word of GOD, meditate on it and live by it! GODS word became my MIRROR! YES His word is a MIRROR! James 1:22-25 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.”
God’s word helps us evaluate our lives. Do you notice how we take time to look in the mirror and make sure we are ready to go out before people? At first, we take a glance into the mirror, if we notice something we go back. When we go back we fix what needs to be fixed, then we gaze and then stare to make sure what we “SEE” is how it needs to be. We will constantly go back if we feel something is off or missing. We don’t stop looking into that mirror until we achieve the look we want until we are satisfied! That’s how we have to be when it comes to being concerned about how GOD sees us! ‘WHAT MATTERS! That’s how we have to be about GOD’s word, we have to get that bible, focus on the word, do it with intent! We must pick up the MIRROR (GODS WORD) so that when we look at “THE WOMAN IN THE MIRROR” the reflection we see is not only pleasing to us but to GOD!!! Remember if you’re willing, God is able! Let’s pick up the mirror and begin to love the woman we see in the mirror!

After reading this I want everyone to meditate on one of my meditation songs
