Embracing the journey!

Cour·age-the ability to do something that frightens one.

The thing I’ve learned about walking by faith, pursuing purpose, accepting the calling, and living life as a believer is it’s a journey! Embracing the journey takes a lot of courage!  There are so many challenges, changes, and shifts that take place along the way. In all transparency, there’s been many times I’ve been like GOD you really want me to do this?? Do you really trust me like that? I can’t forget my BIG ONE… what’s next?

If you’re reading this I’m sure you can agree. It’s normal to get a little frightened when you realize that YOU have NO CONTROL over what GOD has already predestined.  I just want to encourage you to keep going. I am always reminded of Joshua 1:9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” when God is nudging me to step forward into a thing. It allows me to activate my courage!

What has God been nudging you to do? What has he placed in your heart that he wants to push through your hands? What has he been showing you through your visions and dreams? What environments has he placed you in so that others can know him? Have you taken a seat and made a pit stop on the journey due to fear? Has the discomfort of change closed your hands? Has the weight of your challenges crippled your feet from walking forward in faith? Has the suddenness of the shift caused your heart to harden?

Seems like a lot to think about right? These questions are what I have asked myself while walking forward. Again, it takes courage to embrace the journey. How can you activate courage? God’s word!

Confront fear! For he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we can confidently say, ’The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’” Hebrews 13:5-6

Know that you’re never alone, Don’t let the enemy DIS your COURAGE! “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Isaiah 41:10

Remember what God has commanded you to do! “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9

Trust God. Trust the Process. Give yourself the grace to grow! It’s time, the kingdom awaits you! Be BOLD and be COURAGEOUS!
